Continuing education requirements
Naturopaths are required to complete 45 hours of continuing education every two years. Twelve of these hours must be in pharmacology and another 12 in specialty courses if applying or renewing a specialty certificate.
History
In 1994, New Hampshire enacted the Naturopathic Health Care Practice Act. It went into effect January 1, 2015.
How to file a complaint
Naturopaths are regulated by the Naturopathic Board of Examiners. Complaints must be submitted in writing and contain the following information (from the board’s web page on submitting complaints):
- The name and address of the complainant;
- If the complaint is made on behalf of another person, the name of that person and the relationship of that person to the complainant;
- The date of the complaint;
- The name of the licensee complained against;
- If known, the business address and telephone number of the licensee complained against;
- A detailed description of the treatment, action or event complained about;
- The beginning and ending dates of the treatment, action or event being complained about; and
- As attachments, copies, but not originals, of any documents which relate to the complaint.
